Bocas del Toro is Panama's most visited Caribbean destination — and the most uneven. The archipelago has extraordinary natural assets: turquoise water, coral reefs, howler monkeys in the mangroves, dolphins in the bay. The quality of the experience depends almost entirely on where you stay and who coordinates your time on the water. Two properties here deliver consistently at the level our clients expect. Guests arriving on international flights need to transfer from Tocumen to Albrook airport — allow 90 minutes minimum. We coordinate this in advance.
Once at the property, the archipelago opens on your terms. Cayos Zapatilla, Dolphin Bay, Isla Bastimentos — all accessible by private boat, on your schedule. The difference is how you get there and who is running the boat.
Activities are coordinated through the property — a deliberate choice that keeps the quality consistent.

Minimum 2-3 nights recommended. Three to four nights is closer to the ideal.

OUR PREPARATION
Bocas del Toro does not follow a clean weather calendar. Unlike Panama's Pacific side, the Caribbean is irregular — September can be excellent, October sometimes too. December and January occasionally bring rain. Bocas requires flexibility, and we monitor conditions before finalizing activity sequencing.
What remains constant: timing matters. Cayos Zapatilla and Bastimentos get crowded by mid-morning when group tours arrive. We move early.
The two properties we work with here sit away from Bocas Town — one on a private island, one on Isla Colón but removed from the noise. The transfer from the airport goes directly to your property. In most cases, that is exactly the right call.
