Shapes that hold
Five shapes we operate end to end. Each one is a starting point: the order, the nights and the pace all move once we know the dates and who is traveling.
01The units
The Canal is three to four hours on the ground. Casco Antiguo is five, walked around the heat. Gamboa is four. Portobelo and the Congos run 08:30 to 18:00, door to door.
Boquete and the Gulf of Chiriquí each earn two to three nights. Bocas del Toro earns three to four, and starts to pay at three. El Valle earns two to three, Pedasí three. The Pearl Islands work as a day or as two nights.
Those numbers sit on the destination pages with the access and the season behind each one. They are what the routes below are built from.
Humpbacks cross the Pacific side between July and October, which moves the case for the Pearl Islands, the Gulf of Chiriquí and Pedasí & Azuero. It is a season worth planning into.
02Fourteen days
The journey that earns the flight: two oceans, mountains and the Caribbean.
A ten-hour flight out of Europe deserves more than a week. Fourteen days cover the country whole, with a different landscape at every stage: the capital and the Canal, the Chiriquí highlands and their coffee farms, the open Pacific of the Gulf, and the Caribbean at Bocas del Toro. Four separate worlds in a country you cross in a one-hour flight.

Going longer: this is the ceiling of the destination. Extra days add nights where the client wants to stay, usually Bocas del Toro or the Gulf of Chiriquí.
03Ten days
City, highlands and the Caribbean.
Panama holds two oceans an hour and a half of road apart, and a mountain range with coffee farms in between. This route joins them at the pace the country asks for.

Who it fits: the client who already knows Central America · an active honeymoon · a pairing with Costa Rica or Colombia.
Going longer: three more days bring in the Gulf of Chiriquí between Boquete and Bocas, which is the stretch that lifts the trip most. Two fewer close the route in Chiriquí and keep the Caribbean for the next visit.
04Seven days
For the client who wants the Canal and a change of temperature.
The most balanced shape for a first visit of a week: four days in the capital and three in the mountains, with a one-hour flight in between.

Price per kilogram paid at auction in August 2025 for a lot of washed Geisha from a farm twenty minutes outside Boquete. Three of the routes above include a farm of that kind.
05Six days
City and the Pacific archipelago.
The contrast that works best for a couple: three days of city, history and cooking, then three in an archipelago a short flight or boat ride out into the Pacific.

06Five days
A first visit, or a cruise extension.
The short trip that reads as a full one. Every transfer stays inside forty-five minutes by road, so the days hold a great deal and leave the driving out of it.

07Building one
Send dates and we come back with the order of the destinations, the nights in each and the movements between them, with the reasoning behind every one and anything we would rearrange.
Once the shape is agreed, we quote it against real availability for those dates, with the properties named.
Every quote is built on the dates in front of us rather than on a published timetable, because here the dates, the group size and the access requirements move the cost further than the route does.
