PEARL ISLANDS
Maritime Precision
45 kilometers from Panama City, the Pearl Islands sit in the Gulf of Panama — accessible enough for a day trip, rewarding enough to justify staying longer.
Two very different experiences are available here. Contadora, the most developed island in the archipelago, works well for a day on the water without committing to an overnight. Pearl Island resort on Isla Pedro González is something else entirely — a private, high-end property with Ritz-Carlton as a partner, genuine infrastructure, and the kind of removal from the city that actually resets you.
We handle both. The difference is what you are looking for and how much time you have.
IN PRACTICE
Day trip — Contadora Departure from Amador Causeway — private boat — beach access, snorkeling, lunch — return to Panama City by late afternoon

Minimum 2 nights recommended to justify the journey and settle into the pace. The resort handles activities — fishing, snorkeling, boat excursions — at a level consistent with the property's standards.
Investment — Day trip from $420 per person. Pearl Island Resort from $980 per person per night. Final pricing depends on group size, travel dates, and specific program — contact us for a tailored quote.
OUR PREPARATION
The Pearl Islands follow Panama City's weather logic more closely than the rest of the country — December through April is reliable, May through November brings rain with increasing frequency, October being the least predictable month.
For the day trip to Contadora, sea conditions matter more than rain. We check both before confirming departure.
Pearl Island Resort we know directly. The infrastructure is there — restaurant, service, private beach access. For a client who wants genuine exclusivity within 20 minutes of Panama City by air, it stands alone in Panama.
For the ferry versus plane question: two hours each way changes the calculus of a 2-night stay. We lay out both options clearly and let you decide.
